Medicare Basics

Part A
Medicare Part A, often called "Hospital Insurance," provides coverage for inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice services, and some home health care services for eligible individuals.
Part B
Medicare Part B, also known as "Medical Insurance," covers outpatient medical services, doctor visits, preventive care, and durable medical equipment to help maintain and improve the health of Medicare beneficiaries.
Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage, or Medicare Part C, offers an alternative to Original Medicare by providing comprehensive healthcare coverage through private insurance plans, often including additional benefits like prescription drug coverage and wellness programs.
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement Insurance, commonly known as Medigap, is private insurance designed to help cover certain out-of-pocket costs associated with Original Medicare, offering financial protection and flexibility for Medicare beneficiaries.
